We are considering your letter to be a request for a permit
amendment. More information is needed in order for us to amend the permit.
Even though no discharge of "gray water" has occurred yet, as long as the
potential exists, the permit will have to be conditioned to limit such
discharge.
Please describe the source of the "gray water" (shower water only, showers and
toilets, etc.), the average and maximum daily flows from the bath house to the
pond, the frequency of flows and whether additional capacity exists in the
pond for this water.
Additionally, we would like to know why the division has never been informed
that "gray water" potentially could discharge through outfall 009.
Please respond by August 19, 1985.
The application review period for this permit action will be extended by the
number of days between mailing of this letter and receipt of your response.
Please contact me if you have questions.
Sincerely,
Jon C.
