Removal of rip-rap
material .
Dear Mr. Mathews:
Mid-Continent is in process of abatement work which entails
placement of rip-rap material at ditches and culverts along the
haul roads, including the road to No. 4 Mine.
We have noted that the debris flow (i.e. rock material) along the
channel of Dutch Creek is well suited for rip-rap, and in good
proximity to areas in which we are working. We would like to use
some of this rock material for rip rap, and request approval to do
so. We do not expect to remove materials from beneath the stream
itself, but rather from an area along the sides, just west of the
No. 4 Mine road, near the juncture with No. 1 Mine road.
Yours
\\ truly, \
Diane Delaney
Mid-Continent Resources
