Waldron
Reclamation Specialist
Division of Minerals & Geology
1313 Sherman St.
Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: MR - 41.
Dear Mr. Waldron:
The field revision which you issued on August 6, 1993 to allow excavation of soil and
topsoil material to be used for reclamation of the Mine #5 disturbed areas requires that
Mid-Continent submit a map which indicates the areas from which the soil will be
removed.
Accordingly, I have prepared the attached.
The areas indicated will drain to the sediment pond. We will not disturb the large trees
in the area, and will leave untouched the well vegetated slopes on the north side of
Area #2.
As discussed previously with Mr. Routten, our practice will be to separately store the
top layer of vegetated soil, so that it may be advantageously placed on the reclaimed
area(s).
It should be noted that the number of this revision is subject to verification.
Yours truly,
Diane Delaney
Mid-Continent Resources
