MID-CONTINENT RESOURCES
P.O.Box 1298
Glenwood Springs, CO 81602
August 28, 1993
SEP 3 1993
Anthony J. Waldron
Reclamation Specialist
Division of Minerals & Geology
1313 Sherman St.
Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Identification of Interests. Request for Minor Revision #48.54')
Dear Mr. Waldron:
Notice of Violation C-93-108 requires submittal of a request for minor revision to permit
C-81-017, containing information as to ownship and control of the Coal Basin mine site,
as defined in Rule 1.04(83).
Accordingly, Mid-Continent requests approval of Minor Revision #43, concerning the
current ownership and control of the mine site. I suggest this updated information be
placed in Vol. 10, Chapter 3-S.
The Identification of Interests Section of the Permit is found at Vol. 1, Chapter 1,
starting at Page 1. Technical Revision 19 was submitted in June, 1991 and provides
the most recent update of such information, although it was prepared prior to the filing
of bankruptcy and revocation of the permit.
Mid-Continent Resources has filed bankruptcy under Chapter 11 of of the U.S.
Bankruptcy Code in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado in
Bankruptcy, Case#92 11658 PAC. Ownership and control of the mine site is subject to
the authority of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. Mid-Continent is presently debtor-in-
possession of the mine site, although under the terms of a liquidating plan on file with
the court, a trustee may be appointed.
Permit C-81-017 has been revoked. On this action by the Mined Land Reclamation
Board, the site essentially ceased to be a mining operation from which coal could or will
be extracted.
Minor Revision
08128193
