MID-CONTINENT RESOURCES
P.O.Box 1298
Glenwood Springs, CO 81602
November 3, 1993 NOV 3 1993
Anthony J. Waldron
Environmental Protection Specialist
Division of Minerals & Geology
1313 Sherman St.
Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Reclamation - Load-out.
Dear Mr. Waldron:
The reclamation plan for the load-out site provides that, on conclusion of mining, the
train loadout bin will be converted to a warehouse. This requires that we fill in the
bottom, a large trough which formerly stored coal. We would like to proceed on this
plan, and need to acquire suitable fill material. We propose to obtain this material from
the hillside directly behind the bin, which is property owned by Mid-Continent
Resources. The area is designated on the attached map.
I am uncertain as to whether any kind of additional permission is needed for us to take
this material. If you think so, we would appreciate receiving a minor revision to allow us
to proceed. If you don't believe it will be necessary to obtain an MR, please be advised
that we will proceed with this segment of reclamation within the next several days.
Yours truly,
Diane Delaney
Mid-Continent Resources
