The elapsed time during which the shearer operated <br /> to produce this quantity of coal was approximately three hours, <br /> during the A shift and the B shift. <br /> Monitoring of face conditions during the preceding <br /> day and pre-shift examination of the face on September 25 <br /> indicated pressure buildup and stress conditions necessitating <br /> this movement in the judgment of mine managers . <br /> The longwall face in #2 Mine was not advanced <br /> during the day in question. <br /> Other work in the mines and coal movement was <br /> limited to those activities required by the Federal Coal <br />
