Sediment pond inspections were conducted by TMI on September 13, 14, 17 thru 20, and 25.
This report appears to be in compliance with the applicable sections of Rule 4.05.9. The report lists the sediment
ponds that need to be cleaned. The Division agrees with these observations. During the last several site
inspections the Division has noted ponds where the sediment markers were missing or not observed. These ponds
were No Name #2, Johnson #8, Johnson #10, East Middle Flume; Middle Flume #3, Horse #1 and East Pyeatt #2.
These markers will need to be replaced. The Division acknowledges several of these ponds are scheduled for
cleaning and the sediment markers will likely be replaced upon completion.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me at (303) 866-31567 ext. 8120.
Sincerely,
Jared Ebert
Environmental Protection Specialist, DRMS
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
