• No bald eagle nests, nor any federally-listed threatened or endangered species or critical habitats, nor any <br />animals listed as threatened or endangered by the state of Colorado were identified in the permit area. <br />Construction and operation of the projectwillnotresultinthedisturbanceofanyofthesespecies. ]n the <br />future, ifany ofthese species are found to consistently occupy the permit area, LCC will promptly report <br />the presence of these species to the CDOW and to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. <br />LCC will monitor raptor nests within the pemut area duringthe life of the mine. This annual monitoring will <br />consist of documenting locations of known nests, identifying new nests, and documenting nesting activity. <br />In addition, any nests occurring within areas ofdisturbance shall be identified and resource management <br />agencies contacted prior to activities neazthe nest. The raptor survey will be conducted during the spring <br />ofthe year (April or May). Ivlonitoring results will be provided by January 31 ofeach yeaz in a report to <br />the CDMG and then forwarded to the CDOW for their review. <br />Proposed locations and operation ofhaul roads will impact wildlife species. The proposed new roads in <br />the permit area may create a barrier to wildlife.
