Springs, Reservoirs and Ditches Located within Two Miles Downstream of the
Mineral Joe Mine
30
Stormwater diversion ditches (Map 1) are located above the Duggan Adit and Mineral Joe Mine facilities
area and serve to route most of the non - contact stormwater from upslope around the mine and into the
natural drainage to the east. Rainfall and snowmelt that runoff from the Mineral Joe Mine facilities area is
routed onto the JD -6 Mine property and collected in the JD -6 Mine stormwater retention pond. This pond
retains contact stormwater that runs off from the mine facilities area after major storm events and spring
runoff, as described in the Stormwater Management Plan (Attachment 3). The catchment is commonly dry
during much of the year.
8.2 Surface Water Quality
Surface water at the site is limited and no surface water quality data are available.
4148B.120927 Whetstone Associates
