The plans were prepared to in accordance with the
requirements of Rule 6.4.21 of the Hardrock/Metal Mining Rules.
With regard to present intermittent mining activities or Temporary Cessation status on the
properties [as outlined in CRS 34- 32- 103(6)(a)(II) Rule 1.1(26)]; it should be noted that
activities (intermittent or other) are currently prohibited on these properties until the completion
of the Department of Energy's (DOE) ongoing Preliminary Environmental Impact Statement
(PEIS) process pertaining to uranium mining on DOE leased lands. Accordingly, these properties
are held in abeyance until the DOE process has competed and, therefore, the Temporary
Cessation process is not appropriate at this time due to the DOE's prohibition.
Please contact me if you should have any questions about the enclosed Environmental Protection
Plans or the issue of intermittent mining status.
RECEIVED
OCT 0 12012
GRAND JUNt; I aw -,ELL) OFFICE
RECLAMATION MINING & SAFETY
