October 2, 2012 C- 2010- 089/New Horizon North Mine MLT <br />Topsoil stripping operations in the southern portion of the permit area are progressing, <br />preparing the site for construction of the temporary boxcut spoil stockpile. Two scrapers <br />were active at the site during the inspection. <br />• Two topsoil stockpiles have been constructed - one for the "REC" soils, stripped from the <br />area previously disturbed by mining operations at the New Horizon No. 1 Mine, formerly <br />Peabody's Nucla Mine. The smaller stockpile consists of Progresso soils (81PRO) stripped <br />from the undisturbed areas of the Garvey property.
