Re: Proposed Settlement Agreements for Notices of Violation C-88-021 and
C-88-022, Coal Basin Mines
Dear Mr. Jones:
Enclosed please find the proposed settlement agreements for the above cited
Notices of Violation. These two proposals are based on the assessment
conferences held in our office on Friday, June 17, 1988. In attendance at
those conferences were Tony Waldron and Candace Thompson of our office, you
and me.
If you agree with the settlement agreements, please sign them and return them
to our office as instructed on the form. The forms must be signed within ten
days of the above date. If you disagree with either settlement agreement do
not sign the form. The Division will fix the civil penalty as originally
proposed and you may appeal that decision to the Board as outlined in the
regulations, Rule 5.04.4.
