RE: Ditch design at the Sutey and Rock Tunnel Waste Disposal Area
The specific areas needing revisions for the Coal Basin Mines are as follows:
Sutey Refuse Disposal Area
All collection ditches need to be revised both by design and
on-the-ground (as needed) to pass the 100-year, 24-hour event. The
upper diversion ditch is already designed for the 100-year.
Rock Tunnel Disposal Area
The collection and diversion ditches all need to be redesigned to
pass the 100-year, 24-hour event. The existing designs are
detailed on page 2 of Appendix II-B-7, Att. 4.
The revised designs need to be submitted as a technical revision to the permit.
