<br /> KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS , that WHEREAS , MID-
<br /> CONTINENT RESOURCES , INC. , d/b/a MID-CONTINENT COAL AND COKE
<br /> COMPANY, P. 0. Box 158 , Carbondale , Colorado , 81623 , pursuant
<br /> to Order of the Mined Land Reclamation Board, filed Reclamation
<br /> Bond in the sum of SEVEN HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS
<br /> ($765 , 000) , and pledged as surety thereon certain real
<br /> estate in Carbondale, Garfield County, Colorado by "Mortgage
<br /> to Secure Reclamation Bond" recorded February 21, 1980 ,
<br /> Reception No. 301803 , Book 544 , Page 32 , Garfield County
<br /> Clerk and REcorder ' s office, which surety property has an
<br /> appraised value of $2 , 000 , 000 , as appears from appraisal
<br /> filed with the Mined Land Reclamation Board,
<br /> WHEREAS , Mid-Continent Resources , Inc. , amended
<br /> the Reclamation Bond to increase the amount thereof from
<br /> $765, 000 to $831 , 500 by Amendment to Reclamation Bond and
<br /> recorded amendment to Mortgage Deed by document recorded
<br /> July 1, 1980 in Book 550 , Page 974 , Garfield County Records .
<br /> WHEREAS ,, the Mined Land Reclamation Division, in
<br /> its final review of the Coal Basin Mine Permit Application,
<br /> has recalculated reclamation costs and determined that they
<br /> total $1, 970 , 148 .
<br /> THEREFORE , the Reclamation Bond is hereby amended
<br /> to increase the amount thereof. from $831, 500 to $1, 970 , 148
<br /> and the Mortgage to secure such Reclamation Bond, recorded
<br /> as above stated, is likewise amended to the amount of
<br /> $1, 970 , 148 and the property described as surety therefor is
<br /> pledged for such amount in accordance with the term of said
<br /> Mortgage to Secure Reclamation Bond.
