Dept. of NaturaP Resources KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That Mid-Continent Resources, Inc. of the County of Carfit-1d in the State of Colorado as Principal, is held hereby and firmly Dound unto the State of Colorado ("the State") , in the sum of Six Hundred and Seventy Two Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty DOLLARS ($ 672,350.00 ) for the payment of which sum, well and truly to be made, we nereDy Dind ourselves and our personal representatives, successors and assigns, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Principal has, as grantor, executed and delivered to the State a certain DEED OF TRUST in the amount of Six Hundred and Seventy Two Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty DOLLARS ($ 672,350.00 ) in favor of the Public Trustee of Garfield County, Colorado, conveying certain lands in said county and state to the Public Trustee to be held in trust for the benefit of the State, as surety ("the Surety") for the faithful performance by the Principal of the Principal 's obligations to the State evidenced by this bond. WHEREAS, the Principal has applied for a permit ("the Permit") to conduf8smining and reclamation operations on certain lands in Pitkin & Gunnison County, Colorado which, for convenience of reference, are described as follows: A Seven Thousand Three hundred ninety three (7 , 393) acre tract of land in Pitkin and Gunnison Counties approxi- mately five miles west of Redstone, Colorado and as shown on the permit map labled II-B-1. WHEREAS, the Principal has applied for certain revisions to the plan to conduct mining and reclamation operations on said lands that require additional reclamation bonding.
