COAL MINE RECLAMATION BOND - FOR USE WITH DEED OF TRUST - REALTY

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That Mid-Continent Resources , Inc.
of the County of Garfield in the State of Colorado
as Principal, is held hereby and firmly Dound unto the State of Colorado ("the
State") , in the sum of
Six Hundred and Seventy Two Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty DOLLARS
($ 672,350.00 ) for the payment of which sum, well and truly to
be made, we hereby Dina ourselves and our personal representatives, successors
and assigns, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.
Principal has, as grantor, executed and delivered to the State a certain
DEED OF TRUST in the amount of
Six Hundred and Seventy Two Thousand Three Hundred and Fifty DOLLARS
($ 672,350.00 ) in favor of the Public Trustee of Garfield
County, Colorado, conveying certain lands in said county and state to the
Public Trustee to be held in trust for the benefit of the State, as surety
("the Surety") for the faithful performance by the Principal of the
Principal 's obligations to the State evidenced by this bond.
WHEREAS, the Principal has applied for a permit ("the Permit") to
conducitstnining and reclamation operations on certain lands inpitkin & Gunnison
County, Colorado which, for convenience of reference, are described as follows:
A Seven Thousand Three Hundred Ninetv Three (7 , 393) acre
tract of land in Pitkin and Gunnison Counties approximately
five miles west of Redstone, Colorado and as shown on the
permit map labled II-B-1.
TO THE PUBLIC TRUSTEE OF GARFIELD COUNTY, COLORADO:
This Bond has been merged into and superseded by a Coal Mine Reclamation
Bond of later date and accordingly is hereby cancelled and the Trust Deed
securing this Bond recorded in Book 653, Page 295, Garfield County Records
is authorized and requested to be ref as d. i
