Road B
9. Cut slope gullies at approximately Sta. 33+00 and 32+00 should be
stabilized with rock or strawbales staked in place.
10. Between Sta. 35+00 and 25+00, a number of cut slope sections have
sloughed as a result of undercutting of the slope by the ditch. In
conjunction with ditch repair and stabilization work, the sloughed
material along the base of the cut slope should be reseeded .
Road G
11 . The following areas should be stabilized with vegetation:
a. Eroded fill between G-17 and G-16;
b. A small disturbed area a short distance above culvert G-17 which
was an apparent road fill borrow site;
C. An eroded fill slope in the immediate vicinity of Culvert G-4" and,
d. Sparsely vegetated, rilled cut slopes in colluvium in the vicinity
of Culvert G-14.
12. The following cut and fill slope gullies require stabilization :
a. A gully headcut approximately 6 feet deep immediately above
Culvert G-15;
b. A 2 foot deep gully on the fill slope near Culvert G-7 ;
C. A 2 foot deep gully on the road fill between Culvert G- and Road E.
Road F
13. Steep fill slopes between the mine bench at Sta. 130+00 and the curve
below the lower bin pad at 85+00 should be reseeded. Heavy elk/cattle
use has denuded the fill slope at the F-3 curve. A salt block at this
location should be removed.
14. The road fill slope between culvert F-3 and the double culvert set,
below, is sparsely vegetated and should be reseeded .
15. Beginning approximately 150 feet below culvert F-4N is an area of cut
slope instability which extends into the natural ground above . The slide
appears to be stabilizing and some vegetation is coming in . The affected
cutslope area should be reseeded.
-2-
