Box 1298 <br /> Glenwood Springs , Colorado 81602 <br /> Re: Proposed Settlement Agreement for Notice of Violation C-91-018, <br /> Coal Basin Mines <br /> Dear Ms. Delaney; <br /> At Mid-Continent Resources request I convened an assessment conference in our <br /> offices to consider the above cited notice of violation on Thursday, December <br /> 19, 1991 . In attendance at the conference were Lew Thompson of Mid-Continent <br /> Resources, Inc. , and Steve Renner and Dan Mathews of the Division' s staff, in <br /> addition to you and me. <br /> As a result of the information presented by Mid-Continent Resources I stated <br /> that I was disposed to recommend vacation of NOV C-91-018, if I am convinced <br /> that no prior indication of Division concern regarding the stabilization of <br /> access and light use road cut and fill embankment stabilization had been <br /> addressed to Mid-Continent by the Division. For this purpose I instructed Dan <br /> Mathews to review the inspection reports of the past three years, since the <br /> completion of the Rock Tunnel . I have continued the assessment conference <br /> until 1 :30 pm, Tuesday, January 7, 1991 , in order to allow Dan to complete his <br /> review.
