Take whatever measures necessary to Cease and Desist violating the permit, <br /> Mid-Continent has taken extensive measures to bring discharge from Point 016 into <br /> compliance with requirements of the permit. <br /> The measures are as inuicated in response2. <br /> RESPONSE 7#4 2 <br /> W.Q.C.D. <br /> 2. Notify the Division, in writing, within 10 days of issuance of this order, of the <br /> measures you plan,to take or have taken to comply with paragraph 1 above, both <br /> on an immediate and a long-term basis; <br /> Mid-Continent received the NOV and Order on Feb. 24, 1989, and has taken extensive <br /> measures, both on the surface and underground, to bring discharge point 016 in <br /> compliance with the permit. <br /> Surface <br /> In the course of a regular inspection by the Mined Land Reclamation Division on Jan. <br /> 26, 1989, Mid-Continent became aware that the sediment pond series at Discharge <br /> Point 016 would require cleaning. That determination was based on their_appearance <br /> at that time as the results of the water sample were not known until Feb. 24. <br /> 1 <br />
