NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

IN THE MATTER OF MID-CONTINENT RESOURCES, INC. , PERMIT NO.
CO-0000396, PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to 5 CCR 1002-1-2 . 1 . 4,
24-4-101, et seq. , C.R.S. ( 1988) and 25-8-101, et seq. , C.R. S.
( 1988 ) that the Colorado Department of Health ( "Department" ) ,
Water Quality Control Division ( "Division" ) will conduct a hear-
ing concerning the Notice of Violation and Cease and Desist Order
issued by the Department to Mid-Continent Resources, Inc.
( "Mid-Continent" ) on February 22 , 1989 .
Authority and jurisdiction for this hearing is 24-4-105 ,
C.R.S . ( 1988) , 25-8-401, C.R. S. ( 1988 ) and 5 CCR 1002-1-2 . 1 . 4 .
The formal hearing will begin at 9 : 00 a.m. on January 9 ,
1990 in Room 150, at 4210 East llth, Denver , Colorado and will be
continued as necessary.
The purpose of the hearing is to allow all parties to
respond to the notice of alleged violations , to present evidence
and argument on all issues and to conduct cross-examination
required for a full disclosure of the facts .
The hearing will be conducted in accordance with the proce-
dures contained in 24-4-105, C.R.S. ( 1988) and 5 CCR
1002-1-2 .1. 4.
The matters of facts and law asserted are as stated in
Amended Notices of Violation and Cease and Desist Order issued to
Mid-Continent by the Division on April 11, 1989, and June 27 ,
1989 .

Persons who may be adversely affected or aggrieved by the
Department ' s action on the Notice of Violation and Cease and
