Has also worked as an hourly <br /> coal mine employee. <br /> Job Experience <br /> Assigned to the Grayfield Project Team, formed to investigate and evaluate <br /> U.S.S. organization, work practices and policies; then develop plans to make <br /> the company an industry leader in safety, quality and cost competitiveness. <br /> Official in charge of Cumberland recovery effort, following a major mine fire. <br /> The fire area was effectively sealed, the area flooded and the mine reopened. <br /> Work as Chief Mine Inspector, Cumberland Mine administered program of <br /> accident prevention, including Safe Job Practices, accident investigation, <br /> reduction of mine accident frequency. <br /> Reduced accident frequency by 50%; MSHA citations by 30%.. <br /> Responsible, as mine inspector, for safety of underground workings, <br /> preparation plant, three shops, 25 miles overland railroad and harbor facilities. <br /> Duties included troubleshooting special problem areas in either safety or <br /> production. <br /> Education <br /> Mine Safety Training at the National Mine Health and Safety Academy, and <br /> holds a degree in Mining Enginering Technology. <br />
