I prepared this as part of a
report for Mid-Continent, and it is by no means exhaustive. There
are several additional references on the Ellis and Freeman Carbondale
quadrangle map that you might find of use, and Marilyn Grout and
E.R. Verbeek, of the USCS in Denver, have recently published several
papers on fracturing and its effect on ground water in the northern
and central parts of the basin; Marilyn is apparently in the process
of extending her work into the Carbondale - Redstone area.
I do have a few reprints of my 1977 papers if you can't find them
elsewhere.
I hope the enclosed is of use. Please don't hesitate to call if you
have any further questions; if you know of any published work in the
Coal Basin area not included, I would appreciate your letting me know.
Sincerely yours ,
Bruce A.
