This additive hardens the surface and requires
much less dust suppression water than the natural dirt sur-
face . These same haul roads are surfaced with limestone
chips from our limestone quarry in Glenwood Springs . We own
this quarry and have used abundant amounts of this material
( basically sand and gravel 112" minus ) to cover all our truck
haul roads .
Our current projection for completion of the rock
tunnel system , including underground bunkers , overland belts
etc. is May 1987 . At this time all truck hauling on our
roads will cease and we will request a T . R. to change the
designation of our haul roads to light-use roads .
I hope this brings your files up to date on the Coal
Basin haul road system. Please call me if you have any
further questions .
Sincerely,
Environmental Coordinator
DWBowman :ms
