Dept. of Natural Resources
Subject : Tunnel to Wash Plant Permit
Dear Jim:
The following is our revised reclamation plan. The bins
will be backfilled with coal refuse from the coal refuse
pile or refuse taken from the first transfer point behind
the wash plant . The refuse would be stockpiled in the
overflow storage area adjacent to the uphill belt going
to the bins. After the bins are filled, either more
refuse or downsloped material will be pulled back up to
the top of the bins returning the area to A.O.C.
We believe the first choice should be refuse to return
to A.O.C. as pulling up a slope that has already been
revegetated would cause quite a bit more environmental
impact. Approximately two feet of topsoil and the appro-
priate seed/mulch mix would then be applied.
Please contact me if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Environfiental Coordinator
DWBowman:ms
