water meets appropriate water standards, the water would be directly discharged to the
ground. If the development water does not meet standards, the water from these wells
could be contained and allowed to evaporate onsite, or disposed of at an offisite treatment
facility.
Consultation with the Division DRMS is a necessary step in finalizing groundwater monitoring well
locations. All groundwater monitoring wells are proposed to be drilled, constructed, completed,
developed, purged, monitored and sampled in accordance with the State of Colorado Office of the
State Engineer (DWR) Rules and Regulations for Water Well Construction, Pump Installation,
Cistern Installation, and Monitoring and Observation Hole/Well Construction.
BLR would like to emphasize that it continues to stay committed to working with surface and
mineral owners prior to entering lands and or engaging in operations in the area.
Patrick Siglin
Geologist
cc: Mr Tom Kaldenbach, DRMS, via email
cc: Stephanie Carter, BLM — Royal Gorge, via email
cc: Bill Giordano, Fremont County, via email
cc: Vicki Alley, Fremont County, via email
2
