September 19, 2012 C- 1981 - 010 /Trapper Mine MLT <br />• Check dams in the Oak drainage were constructed every 5.5 feet (vertical); Mr. Nicholson <br />said that dozer ponds were built upstream of the series of check dams. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br />• The Molly Brown dragline was working in K -Pit, the Queen Anne was down for repairs, and <br />the Baby Doe was idle (Photo 10). <br />• The large Liebherr loader was in the shop for repairs; a large excavator was being used <br />instead to load the trucks (Photo 11). <br />• Ash from the power plant was being trucked to the Ashmore pit for disposal. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3) / 4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4) / 4.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance <br />4.03.1(5) and (6) / 4.03.2(5) and (6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />Roads throughout the permit area were well maintained and in good condition. The mine has <br />stockpiled crushed rock (red- colored scoria) for use in winter road maintenance. The scoria <br />is mined from within the pen area; a portable crusher is contracted periodically to come in <br />and crush the material for specific uses. <br />TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution <br />4.06.4: <br />• Topsoil was being hauled to and dumped at Flintlock Pit (Photo 12). The topsoil is then <br />spread using bulldozers.
