September 24, 2012
Mr. Berhan Keffelew
Div. Reclamation, Mining and Safety
Dept. Natural Resources
1313 Sherman St.
Denver, CO 80203
Re: Permit M 1977 -211 TR17
Dear Berhan,
TRANSIT MIX AGGREGATES
Castle Concrete Co., would like to formally request that Technical Revision 17 on Permit M
1977 -211 be withdrawn. Since the material discussed in TR 17 came from the burn area from the
Waldo Canyon Fire, it would take a special exemption from the Colorado Department of Health
to incorporate the material into Area H
We were attempting to be "good neighbors" by allowing the community to dispose of the inert
materials remaining from the fire. Currently no other inert material has been incorporated into
Area H as shown in TR 17.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience.
Best regards,
glee
M.
