Figure B -2 also presents a group of four QR wells. Well GF -11 is an equivalent QR aquifer
well in the backfill. The 2006 TDS concentrations overall decreased in backfill well GF -11 and is
still below its peak in 2001 and 2002. Concentrations in the QR aquifer are monitored
downgradient at well GF -6 and have shown no influence from the upgradient mining, except for a
very slight overall increasing trend. The second half of 2006 value increased but needs additional
monitoring with time to determine if this change is significant. These small changes are well within
natural variations. Figure B -2 also presents the TDS concentrations for QR wells GP -5 and GP -6.
Well GP -6 is upgradient of well GP -5, and, as expected, contains a slightly lower TDS than
downgradient well GP -5. TDS concentrations in these two wells were steady in 2006 except for an
increase in the second half value. Water levels in these two wells have also demonstrated a similar
overall slight increasing trend over portions of their historical records which are likely natural.
Figure B -3 presents the TDS concentrations for three KLM aquifer wells. The data for
well GP-4 is presented in red square on Figure B -3 with a higher value in the first half of 2006 and
a value similar to recent levels in the second half. The concentrations have overall similar values
for the last several years except for the higher TDS in 2006. TDS concentrations for two of the
eastern KLM wells, GP -2 and GP -8, are also shown on this figure with concentrations generally
between 700 and 800 mg/1 except for a large TDS in GP -2 for the second half of 2006. Variable
TDS concentrations that are overall steady have been observed in these two wells for the last few
years.
Figures B-4 and B -5 present the TDS concentrations versus time for the HI aquifer wells.
Fairly steady concentrations have been observed in the TDS in well GE -2 during the last four years
with a very gradual decline. The TDS in HI aquifer well GF-4 had gradually increased in
Trapper Mining Company 3-2
2006 Annual Report
