September 20, 2012 C- 1992- 081/Hayden Gulch Loadout MLT <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3) / 4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4) / 4.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance <br />4.03.1(5) and (6) / 4.03.2(5) and (6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />• The surface of the Tie - Across Haul Road was well graded, and appeared to have been <br />recently treated with Magnesium Chloride. <br />REVEGETATION — Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />• Vegetation at the main facilities area consisted mainly of desirable species. <br />A number of first -year Houndstongue plants were scattered throughout the area most recently <br />reclaimed, and a zone of Canada thistle has appeared on the slopes near where the railroad <br />track and ties were removed (Photos 3 and 4). Weed control efforts should continue to be <br />employed against these noxious species. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02: <br />• Signs identifying the Hayden Gulch Loadout permit have been posted at all access points to <br />the permit area, including those along County Road 37. <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS /COMPLIANCE <br />No enforcement actions were issued as a result of this inspection, and none are pending. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 Page 3 of 5 <br />
