5. List the proposed project's specific measurable and obtainable objectives. <br /> Attach an outline of tasks and timeline to achieve these objectives. <br /> The goal of the project will be to accomplish at least 75% reduction of noxious weeds <br /> within the project area within an eighteen month period, beginning May 1998. In order to <br /> accomplish this objective, the following tasks will need to be accomplished: <br /> Spring, 1998: Map and field delineate extent of project area; <br /> Spring, 1998: Obtain representative samples of the percent of noxious weed <br /> cover within the project area. Cover determinations will be made <br /> using a one meter quadrant to obtain a statistically valid sample. <br /> Delineate sample sites in field for use as reference areas; <br /> Spring/Summer Treat noxious weeds within project area; <br /> 1998: <br /> Summer, 1998: Visually monitor noxious weed cover within project area; <br /> Summer, 1998: Perform educational outreach efforts; <br /> Fall, 1998: Sample reference areas using one meter quadrant to obtain <br /> statistically valid sample; <br /> Fall/Winter, 1998: Develop report regarding effectiveness of 1998 treatment program; <br /> m <br /> provide recomendations for 1999 treatment; <br /> Spring, 1999: Sample reference areas using one meter quadrant to obtain <br /> statistically valid sample; <br /> Spring/Summer, Treat noxious weeds within project area as dictated by 1998 <br /> report and 1999 sampling; <br /> Summer, 1999: Visually monitor noxious weed cover within project area; <br /> Summer, 1999: Perform educational outreach efforts; <br /> Fall, 1999: Sample reference areas using one meter quadrant to obtain <br /> statistically valid sample; <br /> Fall/Winter, 1999: Develop report regarding effectiveness of treatment program; <br /> provide recommendations for future sampling or treatment. <br />
