Dear Deborah,
Enclosed is a signed and completed Intergovernmental Agreement governing the
distribution and expenditure of the Colorado Noxious Weed Management Fund money. I
understand that you and Bonnie Daniels have spoken and will work together to facilitate the
transfer of funds. I'll check with you next week to see if the funds have been successfully
transferred.
It has not yet been determined what form a progress report will take but I recommend that
you record information such as the number of acres treated, number of landowners assisted,
number of acres mapped or surveyed, or any other statistical information that could be used to
demonstrate what you have been able to accomplish with the state's financial assistance. The
success of the Fund and its continued existence will rely heavily upon what we are able to
accomplish on the ground. Your progress report will be a very important part of documenting
such accomplishments.
I also encourage you to notify public officials of your accomplishments. If you appreciate
this additional source of funds from the state,please contact your local state representative(s) and
senator(s)to thank them and inform them of how the Fund is being used in their area.
