Site <br /> is in an area that may be subject to future housing <br /> development and is only 3/4 of a mile from both a <br /> residence and a county road. Also, Priority 3: site is <br /> adversely affecting surface water quality. Abatement <br /> of Priority 2 hazards would largely abate the water <br /> quality problems. <br /> Old Refuse Pile(Coal Basin WRCC Eroding stream bank is threatening the stability of 3(present) <br /> Mine) coal stability of coal refuse pile. When pile collapses 2(future) <br /> ' CO ($125,000) into stream, it will create an unstable impoundment <br /> subject to catastrophic failure,threatening <br /> wdownstream residents. High quality trout fishery <br /> important to local economy. <br />
