maintenance needs were observed in this area following multiple inspections. Vegetative cover
was measured at 71% in the late summer of 2005. The landform and vegetative cover are
sufficient to control erosion at this area. No evidence of off-site sedimentation was observed in
2005.
B. The first inspection of the permitted area occurred in June 2005. Inspections of the
permit area were made on a periodic basis from June until October 2005. No maintenance
activities were conducted, as none were indicated. As an inactive mine, only one inspection was
required to be performed.
C. No sampling was accomplished, as little, if any, runoff occurred from the permitted area
in 2005. The lack of runoff was due to the effectiveness of the landform at dispersing runoff, and
establishment of vegetative cover on the now reclaimed mine facilities.
CAsgr\c1bsn\stmwtpt05
4
