<br />I, Randal Sunderland, do solemnly swear that I am managing
<br />editor of the Delta Coirrttr; fndependent: that the same is a weekly
<br />newspaper printed, in whole or in part, and published in the County
<br />of Delta. State of Colorado, continuously and uninterruptedly in
<br />said County of Delta for a period of more than fifty -two consecu-
<br />tive weeks prior to the first publication of the annexed legal notice

<br />PUBLIC NOTICE
<br />Bowie Resources, LLC, Box 483,
<br />Paonia, Colorado, 81428, has filed
<br />with the Division of Reclamation,
<br />Mining and Safety a complete ap-
<br />plication for a technical revision for
<br />its Bowie No. 1 Mine permit No. C-
<br />1981-038. The proposed revision
<br />will change the channel lining and
<br />increase the specified riprap size in
<br />reclaimed Ditch 7.
<br />The Bowie No. 1 Mine is located in
<br />Delta County, approximately four
<br />141 miles north of Paonia, CO. The
<br />Bowie No. 1 Mine loadout is locat-
<br />ed in Delta County approximately
<br />one mile east of Paonia, CO south
<br />of State Highway 133. The surface
<br />facilities, located north of the North
<br />Fork of the Gunnison River, are
<br />located in portions of Sections 23
<br />and 24, Township 13 South Range
<br />92 West; and Section 29, Township
<br />13 South, Range 91 West of the 6th
<br />P.M. The mine permit area is locat-
<br />ed on the U.S. Geological Survey
<br />7 5 minute Bowie and Gray Reser-
<br />voir, Colorado Quadrangle maps
<br />within the following sections.

<br />A copy of the proposed revision is
<br />available for public inspection at
<br />the Paonia Public Library, 2 Third
<br />Street, Paonia, CO, and at the Den-
<br />ver office of the Division of Recla-
<br />mation, Mining and Safety (Room
<br />215, 1313 Sherman St., Denver,
<br />CO 80203, (3031 866- 3567). Written
<br />comments regarding this applica-
<br />tion may be submitted to and addi-
<br />tional information may be obtained
<br />from the Denver office of Division
<br />of Reclamation, Mining and Safety.
<br />Written comments must be re-
<br />ceived by the Division of Reclama-
<br />tion, Mining and Safety within 10
<br />days after the date of this publica-
<br />tion in order to be considered.
