POND CAPACITY - ACRE FEET
Water
Sediment
Total
3.82
0.18
4.00
BOWIE RESOURCES, LLC
SEDIMENT POND F CERTIFICATION
In accordance with Rule 4.05.9(14), impoundments shall be inspected during
construction and upon completion of construction by a qualified registered professional
engineer or other qualified specialist under the direction of a professional engineer.
This certification is for the expansion of Pond F as associated with approved technical
revision no. 72.
The expansion of the pond was completed in early June, 2012, and verified with a field
and topographic survey in July, 2012. I have a wide variety of experience in the design
and construction of earth fill embankments and impoundments. Nothing was observed
during the inspection that would indicate the pond has a potential for failure. There was
no appearance of erosion, instability, structural weakness or other hazardous
conditions. There are no required monitoring procedures or instrumentation other than
quarterly and yearly inspections. There are no aspects which might affect stability and
there is no required maintenance. There was no water impounded during the
inspection.
The sediment pond was, with minor exceptions, constructed in accordance with the
approved plan during June, 2012. The design of the sediment pond is shown on Figure
3, Volume IX. The as -built capacity of the pond is as follows:
The minor exceptions mentioned above are associated with how the pond was
constructed. During construction a I.. •,:, • k segment was encountered on the
southern edge of the planned e -.- r`. 'sir ,•ond. Therefore, the pond is slightly
smaller than the pond design ° ''i ' 4 r ; ' , but large enough to handle the
projected water and sedimen ol_ s. `e%
•.t ,,.,, fi r; , 6 1- t v%
Ta ' K. tov ' . op Date
Co 4. is , , Prof '.l'.:: I Engineer
  , Q' .....
o. 43402
