September 17, 2012 <br />Mr. Berhan Keffelew <br />Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />/ <br />Re: Permit Number M- 2004 -031 — Hazeltine Mine, Revision No. TR -01 <br />Dear Mr. Keffelew: <br />In response to the Division's request, Aggregate Industries' consulting engineers, Tetra <br />Tech, are working on providing additional technical information related to the efficiency <br />of the pumping system proposed by the above - referenced technical revision for drainage <br />and control of surface water elevation to reduce surface water levels to pre- mining <br />conditions. Tetra Tech has advised that the work is in progress but is not expected to be <br />completed by the Division's current decision date of September 20. In order to provide <br />the time necessary to adequately respond to the Division's request as well as provide an <br />u date to the Division with regard to the status of coordination with third parties, AI <br />/requests a thirty (30) day extension of the decision date in this matter. <br />Thank you for your consideration in this matter. <br />Very tnily yours, <br />Connie N.
