In the event that leachate no longer poses a threat to human health or <br />the environment (no leachate generation), the owner may request less frequent or cessation of <br />leachate monitoring. <br />• Leak detection system will be monitored on a quarterly basis for the presence of liquid. In the event <br />that liquid is discovered, procedures previously discussed will be implemented. LDS and LCRS will <br />be monitored concurrently. <br />• Landfill gas will be monitored on a quarterly basis in accordance with procedures previously <br />discussed. <br />During the post- closure care period, the facility owner may be contacted regarding facility concerns. Current <br />post - closure facility contact information is provided in Section 1.2. Following completion of the post - <br />closure care period, the owner or operator will notify CDPHE that a certification signed by an independent <br />Colorado registered professional engineer or approved by CDPHE and the local governing body having <br />jurisdiction, verifying that post - closure care has been completed in accordance with the post - closure plan has <br />been placed in the operating record. The final post- closure certification report shall be submitted to CDPHE <br />for review and approval for final release of financial assurance. <br />NWCC, Inc. <br />
