I am a homeowner and live
within one mile of the proposed mine /gravel pit.
This mine will be environmentally devastating. Environmental impacts include, but are
not limited to:
• Animal habitat
o Numerous animals to include elk, deer, fox, coyote, owls, numerous bird
species and others live in the proposed are 12 months of the year.
o Noise, light, vehicular, equipment, dust and human interference will all
have considerable negative impact on each of these species.
• Water
a. Potential pollution of ground water impacting the water table is
unacceptable as a health hazard to both animals and humans.
b. Most homes in this area are on household wells. This mine violates water
use restrictions by which homeowners are required to comply. This
potential compromises access to water, integrity and safety of well water
and is unreasonable.
I request you to deny the permit M- 2009 -o56, Destiny Mine.
Thank you for your consideration.
Megan Wilson
462 Green Bottle
Fairplay, 80440
(303) 589 -6651
