Copy of SGC's October 14, 1999 submittal is attached for reference.
Also attached to this report is a location map, showing the approximate locations of the
upland diversion ditches and diversions A, B and C.
Installation of the diversion structures and reclamation of associated affected lands
appeared consistent with SGC's October 14, 1999 submittal, and appeared to have been
completed in accordance with the conditions of the Consent Decree and in accordance
with the performance requirements of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Act and the
Hard Rock/Metal Mining Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation
Board.
Observations: Upland Diversion Ditch had been constructed along the north side of
the Mayflower Tailings Pond 1 . The ditch begins at the topographic rise which creates a
drainage divide near the NE end of Tailings Pond 1 . The ditch proceeds west and outlets
to the Boulder Creek channel located along the west side of Tailings Pond 1 . The diversion
ditch receives flow from upland diversions A and B, as well as upland surface runoff. The
upland diversion ditch is an open channel, lined with heavy black plastic and surfaced with
