MINING PLAN AND TIMETABLE
EXHIBIT D
LOCATION
The property is located in Morgan County approxi ately 0.50
miles northeast of Fort Morgan, Colorado along the So th Platte
River. Please refer to Map Exhibit B - Vicinity Map for the
property configuration and the relationships to surrounding
geological features.
This permit application converts an existing 9.99 acre
110(c) permit to a Regular 112 permit by adding 36.83 acres ±.
There are 48.82 acres ± in the new Permit /Affected Lands line
shown on the PRE MINING MAP - EXHIBIT C. The permit area is
located north of Interstate 76 and 2550 feet in a private drive
east of Barlow Road which dead ends at the mine. The gravel
deposit is an alluvial deposit that averages 60 feet deep across
the property and the site elevation is approximately 4246 feet,
sea level datum.
CURRENT CONDITIONS
Map Exhibit C shows the outline of the Affected Lands, the
touching landowners, the 200 foot ownership, structures, current
topography, and hydrologic features of the property. The land is
presently being mined on the north side, a material processing
site is located on the west and the area outside the existing
permit area is pasture that is not currently being used. Sur-
rounding property uses include agriculture on the east, mining
and recreation on the west. The south side abuts the Interstate
76 right of way and to the north is an old gravel mine. The
permit area lies approximately 780 feet south of the South Platte
River.
The northern boundary line is the north line of the existing
permit area until the point where it jogs northwest. At this
point it crosses under the powerline and intersects the south
line of Green Bros. Gravel Pit No 1. It follows this line to the
west side of an old mine area, that was mined prior to 1976, that
will be backfilled and used as part of the Plant Site. The line
then turns southeast encompassing the Plant Site area until it
intersects the property line along the south side of the private
road. The property line becomes the permit boundary until it
reaches the northeast corner where it returns to the original
permit line.
5
