Hickenlooper
Governor
Mike King
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pineda
Director
Your technical revision application TR -96 (lower elevation for West Pit Fill Ditch) was
considered complete for the purposes of filing on July 31, 2012.
The Division has reviewed your revision application and has a request for a change of the
hydrology model. We believe that the SEDCAD model should be run for the 100 -year storm
because the ditch drains a valley fill. Please see Rule 4.09.2(7) in the Regulations of the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining. The design of the ditch must be
based on the results of this model.
When this issue is resolved or within 60 days of completeness (September 29, 2012), whichever
comes first, a proposed decision approving or denying this application will be issued.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
Robert D.
