Aerial photographs were taken on August 22, 2012 at approximately
10:34 a.m. Fifteen photographs were taken during the flyover. Mike Boulay of the DRMS reviewed the aerial
photographs.
Weather conditions appeared to be overcast and as a result the photographs are dark and relatively low quality.
There is no activity discernible in the photographs. All of the mine areas were visible in the photographs including
all of the surface facilities and the entire length of the reclaimed portal bench access road.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.053; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Ground conditions appeared dry throughout the site. The access road to the mine site was dry and appeared to be
maintained. The waste disposal site, adjacent cover and topsoil stockpiles appear stable and the sediment was dry.
These surface facilities are shown in attached Photograph No. 1.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule'):
The mine bench area was stable. The reclaimed hill slope and riprap channels along the entire length of the formal
portal access road appeared to be in very good condition with no evidence of slides or other damage. All site
locations appeared stable and no significant erosion or other problems were identified with this aerial inspection.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0
Page 2 of 5
