This <br /> was a planned activity occurring within permit boundaries. <br /> 1981 <br /> Tailings Pond No. 4 increased in size by 1.0 acres. <br /> 1982 <br /> Tailings Pond No. 4 increased in size by 2.0 acres. <br /> Reclaimed Acreage - Affected lands at the Silverton site are <br /> segregated into major, moderate and minor disturbance areas <br /> based on the intensity of disturbance and the level of reclama- <br /> tion efforts required to successfully implement the Reclamation <br /> Plan. The Reclamation Plan consists of a four phase program for <br /> achieving reclamation goals. <br /> I. Site Preparation <br /> II. Pioneer Community Establishment <br /> III. Successional Community Establishment <br /> IV. Reclamation Maintenance <br /> The first phase, site preparation, is implemented to <br /> ameliorate inimical environmental conditions on affected lands, <br /> and increase the potential for vegetation establishment.
