SCC will spread smaller sized red rock (approximate D50 of 3 inch) with a
dozer by pushing the material part way up the slope. The thin layer of red rock will help with erosion
control and provide microsites for revegetation. The seed mixes used will be the approved Upland Seed
Mix and the Concentrated Shrub Mix. This technique has been used with some success in other places in
the West and is expected to work at Pond 012.
Enclosed are two (2) copies of an application for a minor revision to the Yoast Mine Permit (C -94 -082).
Should the Division have questions regarding the information, please contact at (970) 276 -5217.
Sincerel
iere
Roy Karo
Reclamation Manager
attachment(s)
cc: Foster Kirby (OSMRE)
Jennifer Maiolo (BLM)
Seneca Coal Company • P.O.
