TR -109 Response Cont.
the parcel was already released at 50.7 in SL -5 and 40.5 in SL -6, it is not desired that we
change these values in the bond releases. During SL -10, the parcel was initially
submitted for release at 45.9 acres. However, during the bond release inspection of SL-
10 on October 13, 2008, a disturbance of the parcel was noted due to a dozer blading a
path for a dragline power cable. The parcel was reduced by 0.2 acres and the new
acreage that was released for Phase III was 45.7 acres. Correspondence dated November
12, 2008 addresses the reduction in the parcel due to this disturbance, (please also note
that this correspondence is also wrong in that it refers to the parcel acreage changing
from 49.9 to 49.7 acres. These values should have been 45.9 and 45.7 acres.)
In my first response I accounted for the initial acreage discrepancy of 50.8 versus 50.7
by reducing the initial deduction from 10.3 to 10.2 acres. It is unknown why there is a
discrepancy of 0.1 acres. However, my tallies are correct when using 5.0 acres as a re-
disturbance amount for this parcel. This accounts for 4.8 acres being re- disturbed south
of LOM road for mining operations in F pit, which was part of the anticipated 10.3 acres
of re- disturbance, and the re- disturbance of 0.2 acres for the power cable.
Trapper still requests a change in Phase II bond release of only 5.2 acres. The divisions'
reassessment of this value is in error due to the 0.1 acre discrepancy from SL -5, and the
additional unaccounted for 0.2 acres of re- disturbance.
A summary of current bond release acres is as follows including the newly revised Phase
II total with an additional 5.2 acres added, (current for 2011, does not include recent
releases of SL -12 and SL -13):
A revised ARR form is attached and shall be the new basis for all values into the future.
Trapper Mine
Adjusted Totals
Total
Re- disturbance
acres
New Total
Bond Release
Acres
Phase I
3870.0
24.8
3845.2
Phase II
3579.6
17.5
3562.1
Phase III
2925.5
5.9
2919.6
A revised ARR form is attached and shall be the new basis for all values into the future.
