Reclamation Bond Release
Page 2
This permitted area reduction will reduce the area covered under
the MLR Permit to the following :
Existing Permitted Area 485. 89 acres
Reduction 25. 84 acres
New Permitted Area 460 . 05 acres
MINING PLAN
The Eureka staging area was used as a temporary ore stockpile area.
On-site was a grizzly structure and ore stockpiles which covered a
relatively small area (1. 25 acres) close to the road.
RECLAMATION PLAN
The reclamation plan for the areas consists of:
"removing any trash and other refuse generated as a
result of the activities to occur under this plan, and
minor smooth grading of the existing gentle slopes, as
needed, to reduce any irregularities created by the
operation. • ••• • There will be no attempt to import soil
or revegetate the site. "
Reclamation of the site consisted of removing the ore stockpiles,
dismantling and removing the grizzly structure and smooth grading.
Debris (steel and wood) were removed from the immediate vicinity of
the area that was used but foundations, etc. were not touched to
preserve the historic nature of the site. The area was graded such
that stormwater drainage will flow into topographic lows to control
sediment although due to the nature of groundcover , stormwater
runoff is limited. Final reclamation according to the plan is
complete.
Reclamation Bond
The bond attributable to this site is $3, 720. While SGC is
requesting that this site be released from the reclamation bond ,
SGC requests that this amount ($3, 720) be added to the property
wide bond contingency amount to avoid the paperwork involved with
a bond reduction. This will leave the property wide bond at $1. 5
million until a more significant bond reduction is made based on
property wide reclamation work .
