This exploration and report was authorized by Mr. Mike <br /> Foutz of San Juan County Mining Venture, Sunnyside Mine, and was <br /> performed in general accordance with our proposal number <br /> 3121A119-3 dated July 16, 1991. <br /> The results of our geotechnical analyses indicate that the <br /> existing south slope of the tailings pond has a minimal factor of <br /> safety against slope instability. A minimum factor of safety of <br /> 1. 57 against slope instability was calculated for static <br /> conditions of the proposed 2.5: 1 slope which will be used for <br /> reclamation purposes . This minimum factor of safety is considered <br /> applicable for the reclamation plan. <br /> We are prepared to review your plans and specifications for <br /> consistency with the recommendations, and to provide the <br /> construction observation and testing recommended.
