Numerous intermittent water
sources surround the site area.
The site is in a "park" environment con-
sisting of sagebrush steppe with pinyon
pine and juniper nearby. Vegetation
on the site consists of sagebrush, burgrass,
and ball cactus.
Site occupies a low north /south ridgetop
overlooking an expanse of broad, alluvial
terraces. A fairly heavy scatter of
chipped and ground stone is observable
on the ground surface intermixed with
sagebrush. Soils appear to be rather
shallow and bedrock is frequently
exposed.
100 m E/W X 200 m N/S
Site area is relatively undisturbed when
compared to the surrounding terrain.
Ranching and farming activities, as well
as coal mining has altered much of the
landscape surrounding the site area.
In all, 56 artifacts of chipped
and ground stone were observed.
