Abstract <br />Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc. (MAC) conducted a Class III cultural resource <br />inventory of an 40 acre parcel for Twentymile Coal Company's Foidel Creels Mine_ The <br />inventory was conducted to comply with the National Historic Preservation Act, the National <br />Environrnental Policy Act, and the Federal Land Management Act. Fieldwork was performed on <br />April 26 " and 27` 2012 by staff archaeologist Sally J. Metcalf under the supervision of <br />Principal Investigator Kim Kintz. Field work was conducted under the stipulations of Bureau of <br />Land Management (BLM) Cultural Permit #C39290 (expires £19117113). The project is <br />associated. with future urine operations and exploration program for the planned Foidel Creek <br />mitre in Routt County. Colorado.. The project area is on both private and federal lands. <br />No previously recorded sites are situated within the area of potential effect (AYE-) for this <br />project. One historic road segment (5RT3032.1) and one prehistoric isolated find (5RT3134) <br />were recorded during the coarse of the project. MAC recommends the historic site (5RT3132.1) <br />and the isolated find as trot eligible for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places <br />(NRHP)_ No farther work is recommended for this project. <br />M <br />
