been placed in the eastern portion of the South Taylor pit as mining progresses westward.
Both the eastern and western South Taylor temporary stockpiles presented on Map 45
have been completely built. Areas 2 and 3 on Figure 1 identify these stockpile areas.
Overburden Redistribution
Attached Table 1 identifies the 3 main areas of overburden redistribution which would be
required. Area 1 is largely a balanced cut and fill, and the required fill material to
reclamation of the 578 acre area would be obtained from within the boundaries of this
polygon.
To achieve reclamation of the South Taylor pit, all out of pit materials from Areas 2 and 3
above the postmining surface would be hauled out of stockpile and back to the South
Taylor pit area. This quantity is estimated at 52,822,000 cubic yards.
Topsoil Redistribution
Attached Table 2 provides an estimate of the volumes of topsoil in stockpile as of
November, 2017. Volumes have first been updated from the prior annual report period,
and the reclamation polygons shown on Map 29 were used to redistribute topsoil from
the existing stockpiles. As noted, the projected volume of topsoil in stockpile as of
November, 2017 is approximately 3,142,000 cubic yards.
These figures and tables are not intended to be part of PAP and are for informational
purposes only.
If you should have any questions please feel free to contact me directly at (970) 824-
1532.
Sin cerely,
S no Tony
Environmental Engineer
Encl.
Cc: file CF 1.1.3
A Western Fuels- Colorado, LLC raining property
